What is the iOS 15 Downgrade Status
In order to improve the performance of your iPhone, you can downgrade its software if you encounter bugs or performance issues on iOS 15. In other words, if it is available. At the moment, it isn’t.If iOS 15.6.1 starts causing problems, you will not be able to move your iPhone to iOS 15.6.1 if Apple stopped signing on iOS 15.6.
There are currently no signings for iOS 15.5, iOS 15.4.1, iOS 15.4, iOS 15.3.1, iOS 15.3, iOS 15.2.1, iOS 15.2, iOS 15.1.1, iOS 15.1, iOS 15.0.2, iOS 15.0.1, or iOS 15.5. Therefore, you cannot drop back to any of these updates.
Apple initially appeared to allow users to remain on iOS 14 and receive security updates and, perhaps, bug fixes, but that’s changed.
Since iOS 14.8.1 was released in October, there hasn’t been a new version of iOS 14. You cannot update your device from iOS 14.8 to iOS 15 if it is running on iOS 14.8 or earlier.
It means that moving forward, iOS 15 won’t be able to be downgraded to iOS 14. Apple can only accomplish this by releasing a new version of iOS 14.
